Thank you for visiting danbina.com. This site exists to present my art, design, and other ventures. My work is a reactionary examination of cultural values. I take multiple approaches toward information gathering in analog and digital media to explore desire, anxiety, politics, and commerce in the social and private realms. Painting, drawing, collage, and sculpture are the primary methods where I take an appropriation-based process to generate new composite works. My work relies on craft traditions as well as vernacular modes of presentation to reform source images, texts, and raw materials into objects infused with new meaning.
